Membership

In addition to soliciting programs for accreditation, AKT takes its individual memberships from people certified in courses which have been accredited by AKT. Memberships are also open to any person who has an interest in kinesensory development. If you are concerned about Kinesensory Education for children and wish to support the efforts of this association by becoming a new member or renewing your membership all you need to do is AKT NOW.
The Association for Kinesensory Teaching is a 501 (3)(c) non-profit organization, and as such all dues and/or donations are fully tax deductible.

AKT has three classes of membership:

  1. Individual membership: Any person who has completed a basic certification course in such course curriculum having been approved by the Board of Directors and who has paid his dues. Annual dues for Individual Memberships shall be $20.00. Individual members shall receive news publications and other information disseminated by the association. Individual Membership is the only membership entitled to voting rights. An individual member shall be entitled to cast one vote on every matter submitted to the membership for vote.
  2. Associate Membership:Any person who wishes to attend meetings, to receive the association's newsletters and to assist in the corporation's activities. Associate members are not entitled to any voting rights. Annual dues for associate memberships are $20.00.
  3. Sponsor Membership: Any pre-school, day-care facility, public school, private school, other organization or individual who wishes to attend meetings, to receive the association's newsletters and to assist in the association's activities. Sponsor members are not entitled to any voting rights. Annual dues for sponsor memberships are as follows: (a). Gold - $1000.00, (b). Silver - $500.00, and (c). Bronze - $100.00.
